You Could Have Halitosis

By: Morgan Mathers

Few realize that bad breath or halitosis is an indicator of a more serious problem like gum disease or a myriad of dental diseases. It goes without saying that you should check with your dentist regularly. There are so many products available to help us maintain good oral hygiene. These products don't always work and do not necessarily guarantee that we will have fresh spelling breath. Brushing, flossing and using a good mouthwash all help to keep our mouths clean, but sometimes we need a little more to keep our mouths fresh. Currently, my favorite breath freshener is the breath strip for my bad breath cure.

I discovered that brushing, flossing and rinsing are not enough to have fresh breath all day long when I was in college. I came home after two consecutive semesters away. My mother had not seen me for months and the very first thing she said was, "Your breath! Are you dieting again?" She did say this in a way that only a mother who desperately missed her daughter could.

Anyhow I got the message loud and clear and the worse part was I had just scene by boyfriend for a long kiss goodbye. I put on perfume and of course cleaned my mouth before I met him but golly. Smelling badly is not a very attractive thing in a girlfriend.

Once I learned that I had halitosis and not gum disease I went crazy buying up all the bad breath cures I could find. I chewed gum all the time. I had breath mints with me ready to be deployed at a moments notice. And I went through heap loads of mouth rinse to keep up with my stinky mouth. All in all I found that I like breath strips best.

Gum doesn't work because the flavor is lost after a while of chewing. You also can't chew gum sometimes so that wasn't my 100% solution. The sugar in the gum is not good for my breath or my diet.

Mints didn't cut if for me for a bad breath remedy since it too had calories and didn't dissolve in time.

Sprays were awkward and often caused aiming mishaps. Once when at the post office I zapped the guy behind me with a significantly large dose of Binaca. Besides people treat you like you have the plague when you use breath sprays in public.

A strip for your breath is surreptitious. You can hide it in your pocket and voila - produce it at a moments notice and your halitosis problem is solved. I will forever use breath strips for my bad breath cure. Be sure to check for gingivitis and periodontal disease.
