Golf Awards and Golf Trophies

By: Dustin Schwerman

Earning a golf award or golf trophy is no easy feat. Although you don't have to worry about direct physical contact with the opposing players, the sport still requires and rewards a number of different attributes and aptitudes. Some degree of physical strength is required, as the distance between the tee and the hole is one of the primary measures of a hole's difficulty.

However, precision is also a critical capability. Not only do you have to aim the ball, often over a distance of hundreds of yards, but a mistake in the angle that you strike at can cause the ball to curve sharply off-target. Not only can this increase the number of swings required to get to the green, but it can land your ball in a hazard.

Golf may be the stereotypical sport of upper-class business executives, but the true proficiency required for gaining a golf award or golf trophy remains significant. Without impressive physical aptitude, excellent control, and a keen eye, such a reward may very well be out of reach.
